I'm a Model Railfan, too.

I've found out that there is a term for folks who like model railroading for the modeling part and not so much the operating: Model Railfan. Yep. I'm officially a Roundy-roundy. I enjoy layouts that are more visually interesting than, well, accurate reproductions of a proto.

Like David notes in his post, I have nothing against operators. In fact, I haven't hung out with many of them. I simply find that it is the opportunity to create that draws me to Model Railroading. Why do you do it?
